The GPI Inflatable Pipe Stopper from Orbital Tools is a easy to use solution for plugging a pipeline during maintenance or welding operations. The GPI series is suitable for low pressure or empty pipelines with minimal liquids present. Their robust construction includes a thick polyester cover with a nitrile rubber ballon bladder which is resistance to chemicals and hydrocarbons. The system is inflated using a standard tyre valve and can be pressurised up to 15 PSI (depending on the size).
When deflated, the GPI reduces drastically in size and can be removed through small risers or maintenance accesses. Even a 24″ GPI can be easily removed through a 4″ hole..
